What the hell was I thinking when I one clicked this-- how can a trilogy go from FIVE stars in the first book down to ONE??

I should have listened to my gut after book two bombed with me so badly, but I wanted to give the author another chance-- hell another one redeemed herself in my eyes this week, but yeah I pushed my luck too far.

Anyway, what I didn't like: Sara continues to be TSTL... the angst, the self caused drama, yadda, yadda, yadda, Chris morphs into some pussy whipped weenie, and the biggest offense:

The book ends as a cliff hanger.

Seriously. The third book in a trilogy doesn't have a nice bow on it to wrap up all the freakin' messes of the village idiots from the previous books. Yes, the questions were addressed, but throwing out something else as an ending with no closure that may be for a spin off really sucks becuase there's no way I will torture myself any further with these idiotic characters.

My only surmise is that it ended this way is because of the option to be featured on Starz as a show.

Banging my head against a wall. I want a do over.

I so much wanted to love this book. I really did. Hot Bikers. Steamy Sex. Alpha Men. How did I get let down? A whole lot of cheese, and a bunch of self caused predictable/unbelievable TSTL drama, and numerous typos (one even on the first page-- ugh), but none the less, I finished it for ONLY two reasons: the Hell's Knights with Jackson and Cade and the Heaven's Sinners with Spike who are all Alpha Bad Ass Bikers. Perhaps if the books focus was on them instead, it would have worked better for me-- that is what I was excpecting by the blurb as well as the title.

Instead, the main character was Addison who got on my nerves. Yes- she had a screwed up disturbing past, more screwed up than most and she was a survivor; but she was so hell bent on constantly trying to prove she wasn't responsible to anyone, let alone worthy of love. She gets so pissed when she thinks she's being judged for her mother's choices, even the word whore makes her see red, however Addison herself was so judgmental when she initially hopped the fence of the compound and saw the guys that make up the MC.
I guess knowing he is a biker, I expected a fat, ugly, smelly man with a beer belly. Not the handsome, well groomed man sauntering towards me.

Fine, give me some money, and I'll leave. I have something to do then (<-- should be THAN, but I digress) stand here with a bunch of scummy bikers.

WTF?!? She says their scum. In ear shot of the guys. And she wonders why not everyone is pleased she is there??? Not going to excuse the one wench, but at least that lady wanted everything and didn't disrespect the club. Even though she grew up with absolutely nothing, Addison is S-P-O-I-L-E-D.

Fair warning; this book does play the flip flop game of Past versus Present in every chapter-- which can be a bit draining.

It was a quick read though, I read it in under two hours.

I don't give many one/two stars when I review a book because I know how much authors, especially new authors, depend on their ratings. Even five stars are a rarity because it has to be special to me and I truly believe that the BETAs failed this author with the numerous spelling and grammar errors that abound throughout the book which should have been caught.

Will I read part two? YES! I hope that Bella Jewel's characters become stronger and more palatable (at least to to me), and should she need a better proof reader, hit me up, I'd be glad to.

Let me preface this with the fact that I LOVE Alpha Men.. add in some tattoos and a bike, well instant wet panties.

Dallas Knox was a character that I could not stand. You know the kind that if they spontaneously combusted in front of you, you'd actually have to think really really really hard before even wasting a drop of your own spit to potentially save them-- yeah, she was it for me. I had a very hard time connecting to her.
Being five foot four with a body most people only dream of can get you a lot when it comes to men. Not to mention my long, silky brown locks, my perfect teeth, and a smile that would make the devil himself bow down.

Luke Carmical, oh Luke... totally Bad Ass, yet so beautifully tender.
I would move heaven and earth for you Dallas. I will spend the rest of my days making you happy. I have loved before, but never like this.

But their relationship is based on LIES ; She tells him that she was touched while she was sleeping during the break in, when she wasn't, OMISSIONS and a whole lot of CRAZY-- both main characters seem to be a bit bipolar. However with the cliffhanger style ending, you really don't find out the depth of Luke's lies; you are told that he was hired to protect her...but he does say he's a bad person.

Am I going to read the next two books to see if there really is any redemption in Dallas? Yes, because I love a bit of drama and non endings piss me off.

As others have pointed out, there are several areas that desperately need an editor's attention. Own is used when On should be and vice versa. Sense versus Since and Decoy versus Deploy... is it a bad read? No, but it could be so much better.

Ok, good things first... I loved the story of Lorelei and Declan's love. It was truly beautiful. I think though, in the real world, she would have a tough time not having or showing the slightest bit of guilt even though it was an accident. Secondly, Jaxon; he was the perfect guy. Lorelei's kids-- I giggled at Sammy's outbursts.

"Mommy, why is Jaxon in bed with you? Oh my God, did you see his penis mommy? Grandma, mommy saw Jaxon's penis!"

Now to what I didn't enjoy; I felt the dialogue was simply cheesy. I also had a tough time with Lorelei, at times she seemed to be a TSTL character. She could manage 20,000 acres but then place blame on Jaxon regarding protection after their first time, not to mention the games she played with Cade and Jaxon.

He knew why he was coming over. He knew I hadn't been with anyone in ten years. He had to know I wasn't on birth control... I finally blurted it out, "Um, why didn't you use protection last night?" WTF--hello!! Was she not an active participant?? Why should Jaxon bear the brunt? She had more sense when she was drunk to insist on a condom with Cade.

This book was clearly NA, even though Lorelei was in her late 20's and it's not that I don't enjoy that genre, but I feel at some point women need to accept their own responsibilities and quit contributing to drama.

How many times can two people get a chance at true love?

What I loved about this book: *Callie-- her quirky fabulous fashion choices; if I could rock cotton candy colored hair, I so totally would. I L-O-V-E-D her the first 70% of the book, she seemed strong and fearless. *Joe-- biker, tattoo artist, a total saint; waiting patiently to acknowledge his feelings for Callie so many, many years. *The supporting characters-- Su, Dane, Saffron, Adam & Roman... all contributed to the plot so much.

What I didn't like: The book seemed to have a fast forward button. At one point it jumps days. The next is months and finally years. If the two main characters would just talk to each other so much drama could have been prevented-- which I guess is why the title fits. Callie was annoying in the last 30%; she knows that Joe had a past while she was with Nick, yet she runs.

I was looking forward to this book and it had the potential to be...

Well it wasn't. It was just ok.

The best scene of the book I found was when Natalie stood up to Luke's sister when meeting the first time, however I found that the book lacked a lot of PLOT. The characters, I felt, were a take off on Twilight actors; Luke was clearly Rob Pattinson (there's even a vampire movie reference) and in all honestly the sex scenes were just fluff. Yes, he can't get enough of her. Natalie thinks Luke's amazing. I felt like the teacher on Charlie Brown: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.

Please understand, I hardly give 1 star rankings, but this one was almost there. Sorry. Looking at all the 5 stars, I honestly wonder if we read the same thing or if somehow my Kindle mistakenly uploaded the wrong book.

Will I read part two? I don't know.
