Reviews on what I read-- I'm a Kindle junkie with insomnia. Give me feelings, give me passion, give me love, but a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am isn't out of the question... I read very fast but am not too big on novellas-- if it's under 150 pages, it most likely won't be my first choice; I want to feel invested in the characters and story~ and if the author can't seem to expound on them, I don't want to waste my time.

It's taken me a couple of days to digest this book enough to put my feelings down... first of all the book is obviously dark. This book has been labeled as BDSM, however I don't think I would classify it as that- pure and simple it's about kidnapping and molding someone to be a potential sex slave. When Caleb took Olivia though, it's almost as if he rescued her from her life. Olivia is everything I like in a heroine-- she's strong and she is smart. Caleb also has redeeming qualities and I almost feel bad that I want them to have a happy ever after. What the hell is wrong with me?

Why do I keep doing this??? I love a HEA like anyone else, but I keep finding myself reading books that do not have any ending... sometimes, though, the brilliant writing hooks you in and just can't put it down.
This. Was. This. Book.
The chemistry between Jesse Ward and Ava O'Shea is off the charts. Their relationship is the poster child for deleterious; Jesse is guarded, domineering, and totally freakin' psycho. With serious abandonment and possessive issues that are completely unhealthy, I still found myself rooting for him. Ava, is oblivious to reality. The ending broke my heart. And Yes, I'll be purchasing Beneath This Man.

I was looking forward to this book and it had the potential to be...
Well it wasn't. It was just ok.
The best scene of the book I found was when Natalie stood up to Luke's sister when meeting the first time, however I found that the book lacked a lot of PLOT. The characters, I felt, were a take off on Twilight actors; Luke was clearly Rob Pattinson (there's even a vampire movie reference) and in all honestly the sex scenes were just fluff. Yes, he can't get enough of her. Natalie thinks Luke's amazing. I felt like the teacher on Charlie Brown: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
Please understand, I hardly give 1 star rankings, but this one was almost there. Sorry. Looking at all the 5 stars, I honestly wonder if we read the same thing or if somehow my Kindle mistakenly uploaded the wrong book.
Will I read part two? I don't know.

Wow. I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face. I am a hopeless romantic and what a beautiful story. Though not typical of what I've been reading lately, it is easily one of the best books I've read. The last chapter tugged at my heart so tight, It's the words that change peoples lives in the end, right?

Holy Hell, the BJ scene in the first chapter was HOTTT!!!
For a moment, she just stared.
It was like holding life in her hand....
...She abandoned herself to the voluptuous, eternal moment, escaping into it like a fugitive from a harsh meaningless world.
and if it were on this chapter alone, I'd rate it 4.5 stars.
I don't know, but the book felt to me as a lot of filler with a couple gratuitous sex events thrown in-- it was just ok. I found it predictable and unbelievable, even in a fantasy world that features a regular girl who gets with the movie star.

What a great book, but seriously, what the hell?!? No freakin ending. Who killed Trésor? I found myself going back and re-reading making sure that I hadn't missed something. Yes, I know that it's a build up for Killing Desire, but seriously ARGH!!
The author went into great detail building up all of the characters, so I am not certain who the murderer is. Sex is currency in this dark book.
Severin is a power hungry lunatic- I would say he is the mirror twin to Rory's calm. And I do find it a bit skeevish that Auriel could easily jump into something with her recently dead sister's lovers.

While I was laughing, quite enthusiastically I must honestly say, hubby had the nerve to tell me to pipe down a few times. It was a bit over the top coincidental that Shades WAS Colby the swim instructor for her daughter AND the new intern in her department at work. Plus, I couldn't help and think a bit of the ick factor of Daddy getting sloppy seconds, but the book was a quick read and light hearted. I've always said that the sweetest revenge is when the ex realizes what they lost and wants to come back...the Brazilian scene and the next day at the meeting had literal tears going down my cheeks -- and sometimes you just need a belly laugh. Great book!

I did enjoy the author's writing style and some of the scenes were hot, but all of a sudden I glanced down and I was at 97% finished, and there were too many incomplete points for me. Would I read the sequel? Probably so, but I'm glad I spent less than $5.00 on this.
